Due to this behaviour of Duryodhana, other kings started the war. But with the help of Karna, Duryodhana was successful in marrying Bhanumati by force.
Amba, Ambika-Ambalika Marriage
Amba, Ambika and Ambalika were Kashiraj’s daughters in the Mahabharata. The story goes that the trio’s self was organized. In this Swayamvara, Bhishma was angry due to not getting the invitation to Hastinapur and reached Kashi without calling. They forcefully kidnapped the three princesses. Amba’s husband, Shalva Naresh, challenged Bhishma to battle, and a fight broke out between the two. Bhishma defeated Shalva and took the princesses to Hastinapur. Ambika and Ambalika were married to Bhishma’s brother Vichitravirya. Amba became the cause of Bhishma’s death.
Draupadi – Arjun Marriage
The marriage of Draupadi and Arjuna was also ended by going on a war. During the time of Draupadi Swayamvara, Pandava Brahmins were wandering in the forest. At the behest of Shri Krishna, he participated in the swayamvara, and Arjuna was successful in fulfilling the condition of the swayamvara. The Kauravas saw Arjuna in the Brahmin disguise and started opposing him. Srikrishna had to intervene in view of the state of war.
