Is Being Gay A Sin?
The Bible consistently tells us that homosexuality is an act of sin (Genesis 19:1–13; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:26–27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). Romans 1:26-27 teaches us that homosexuality results from denying and disobeying God. When people continue to live in sin and unbelief, God “subjects” them to even more wicked and fallen sin so that they can see the futility and despair of life apart from God. 1 Corinthians 6:9 declares that homosexuals “unjust” or criminals will not inherit the kingdom of God.
God did not make a person who has homosexuality in their desires. The Bible tells us that people become homosexuals because of their sins (Romans 1:24-27) and ultimately their own will. A person can be born with more homosexual sensibilities, just as some are born with violence and other sins. It in no way gives any such excuse to justify one’s choosing to choose sinful desires. If a person is born with a high sense of anger/anger, does it give him the right to give himself to fulfill these desires? Similar is the case for homosexuality.
However, the Bible does not describe homosexuality as “better” than any other sin. All sins are a crime against God. Homosexuality is reported in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 as one of the many sins that would keep a person away from the kingdom of God. God’s forgiveness is open to homosexuals in the Bible, just like an adulterer or idolater, murderer, thief, etc. God also promises winning over the sin of sin, including homosexuality, to those who are believers in Jesus Christ for their salvation (1 Corinthians 6:1; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Philippians 4:13). What Does The Scripture Say About Being Gay?

While God loves a homosexual and all other sinners to death (Romans 5:8), the Scriptures teach, in 1 Corinthians 6:9, that a homosexual will not inherit the kingdom of God “Don’t you realize that the unjust people won’t be able to inherit God’s kingdom, God? Do not be deceived, either a prostitute, an idolater, an adulteress, a liar, or a male lover. No covetous individuals, nor drunkards and abusers, or oppressors will be able to inherit God’s kingdom. God.”
The Bible affirms that homosexuality is considered a sin (Genesis 19:1-13) and is an abomination for Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, “not to have sexual intercourse with a man; That is an abomination” (Leviticus 18:22 20:13;). And Romans 1:26-27 says that homosexuality results from denying and disobeying God.
God doesn’t make a person who has homosexuality in their desires. The Bible tells us that people eventually become gay because of their freedom to choose. A person may be born with a greater propensity for homosexuality, just as some people are born with a tendency to lie, murder, and deceive. But this does not excuse one’s choosing to sin by giving in to sinful desires. If a person is born with a greater tendency to anger, is it right for him to give in to those desires? Not at all! The same is true with homosexuality. (Is Being Gay A Sin?)
The good news is that God’s forgiveness is available to a homosexual just as it is to an adulterer, an idolater, a murderer, etc. God also promises not to forgive sin but to give power for complete victory over sin, including homosexuality. Grace is given to all who regard Jesus Christ as their Savior “So if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation: the old things have passed away; Behold, they are all renewed” (2 Corinthians 5:17). And the believer will triumphantly declare, “In him who gives me the power I can do all things” (Philippians 4:13).

Is It Okay To Attend My Friend’s Gay Marriage As A Christian?
What will Jesus do? Jesus had fellowship with sinners (Matthew 9:10). But he did not take pleasure in their wrongdoing when he ate and drank with the tax collectors, prostitutes, and the frivolous. Instead, he called them righteousness. There is a huge difference between being there for those grappling with sin and celebrating their unrighteous deeds.
Similarly, a Christian should not help a friend who is coping with the sin of stealing, for example, by celebrating stolen goods. Instead, he must help her overcome her weakness and show her the need to return all the stolen goods to their original owners. True love heals and brings the sinner back to God. Homosexuality is like any other sin that God is eager to distribute to people.
Jesus taught that sinners can certainly receive forgiveness for all their sins and that by the grace of God, they can have all the strength they need to overcome sin. And he called sinners to forsake their sin. For He did not come to save sinners in their sin but from their sins. True love will invite the weak to repent of sin because sin separates people from God (Isaiah 59:2). Jesus came to reunite the sinner to God (2 Corinthians 5:18). Sometimes speaking the truth in love can lead to division and persecution (Luke 12:51-53). God can call Christians to speak up even when hurt. Jesus himself, the Lord of love, experienced such rejection (John 15:18).
According to the Bible, same-sex marriage is not considered a true marriage by God. Scripture teaches that marriage is the union of a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24). And same-sex marriage is condemned by God (Romans 1:26-27). Therefore, participating in a same-sex marriage ceremony contradicts God’s will. And a Christian cannot celebrate any activity that goes against the will of God. “Marriage should be considered an honor in all, and the bed should be spotless; For God will judge adulterers, and adulterers” (Hebrews 13:4), but a same-sex marriage, insults marriage. Even a marriage between a believer and an unbeliever is considered a marriage (1 Corinthians 7:14), although Christians are commanded not to gamble equally with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 7:14). 6:14). (Is Being Gay A Sin?)
In the end, Christians need to treat their gay friends with respect and love them the way Jesus loved them. As long as they do not violate the will of God, it should be possible for them by all means. It is genuine love rather than a profession that identifies the Christian. Jesus said, “That the word which was spoken by the prophet may be fulfilled, that I will open my mouth to tell a parable: I will reveal the things which have been hidden from the creation of the world” (Matthew 13:35).
What Does The Bible Say About Homosexuality?
You are probably very confused nowadays. Section 377 has been implemented in our country, which gives the right to all homosexuals to have their relationship with any other homosexual. In other words, homosexuality is no longer a crime.
As Christians, you must be wondering what the Bible says, whether we should be happy with this law or not.
Friends, first of all, understand that God loves all of us equally, and he loves gay people as much as we do. They want to forgive gay people, they want these people to apologize to them for their sins just like we asked, and they want to forgive them too.
It means that God is against homosexuality, but He also loves those involved and wants them to turn from their sin.
The Bible is against any profanity or sin, and this includes homosexuality. Bible says –
“Don’t you realize you are the body of the Holy Spirit who lives within you and has been gifted to you by God and that you are not your only? “
1 Corinthians 6:19
When we fall into any kind of sexual sin or commit adultery, we sin not only against God but also against our bodies. Our body is for the glory of God and not for sin.
In Genesis, we read that God created Adam and Hawa, and he created every animal or animal in the form of male and female. This means that they wanted that naturally, only male and female should carry forward their generation or family.
If we go against this natural law, we break God’s fire and insult his creation.
Sodom and Gomorrah also committed a similar sin. Their people indulged in unnatural sex, and they turned away from God. So those cities were destroyed.
It is written in Leviticus 20:13:
“And should anyone have sex with a male similarly to with women, the two will be unclean; therefore, they should be executed, and their blood will be thrown over their heads.”
Paul also makes it clear in Romans that God forsakes those who do such things if they do not repent –
So God left them in the power of lowly desires; Even his women replaced the natural behavior with that which is against nature. In the same way, men, too, leaving their natural dealings with women, became jealous among themselves, and men got the right result of their delusion by doing shameless things with men. And when they did not want to know God. So God also left them on their useless hearts; they do improper things.
Romans 1:26–29
Another verse makes this even more clear –
Are you aware that the unjust do not be able to inherit God’s kingdom, God? Do not be deceived, either a prostitute or an idolater, an adulteress, a liar, or a male lover. Neither thieves, nor covetous people, nor drunkards, nor abusers, nor oppressors will inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 6:9–10
Friends, Christian people should not support homosexuality. But homosexual people must be told about the love of God so that they also leave it and accept Jesus.
Bible and Homosexuality
A number of passages from several passages in the Hebrew Bible and New Testament have been read as involving sexually explicit homosexual desires and acts. These interpretations are the foundation for Jewish and Christian views on homosexuality. The passage about homosexuality in the Hebrew Bible begins as the Torah (the first five books of the Bible). Several scriptures in the New Testament also mention homosexuality, including the Gospels in the Books of Matthew, Luke, and various letters from St. Paul to the early churches of Asia Minor.
