What Does The Bible Say About Weeds?

What does the Bible say about using weeds and other drugs? Is it silent on the matter, or does it permit you to do it? Today we’re gonna dive in to see what it says. Today’s subject is weeds and other drugs. Does the Bible say that using weeds and drugs is okay, or is it pretty silent on the matter?

Drugs today in the society of prevalent well we know that there are more people in society than there’s ever been, so it’s going to be more drug use. Still, it’s a billion-pound or dollar industry. It goes international, crossing many boundaries. This is how people move drugs around the world is amazing if only they put that into other areas and benefit humanity well on this.

But drugs are huge, but as Christians, can Christians use drugs so freely? After all, cannabis is grown naturally. Can you use them? What does the Bible say about that?

So the first thing to say is that the Bible says nothing directly about weeds about any drugs. And of course, a lot of drugs are synthetic nowadays, but even all the natural drugs the Bible doesn’t speak about that the Bible isn’t speaking about that the Bible isn’t about drugs and the regulation will use.

And remember, in the times around the Old Testament and the New Testament in Israel and Judah, there’s a lot of law, and there’s a lot of rules in all those rules in the Old Testament has exactly for this to keep people in line to learn new things.

What Does The Bible Say About Weeds?
Bible Say About Weeds

The Bible isn’t even touching on this subject because it would have been a big no-no subject, so the Bible’s there as saying already this is a no-no. Because if it was allowed, then it would speak into it and and and the rules kind of would be kind of relaxing on it. But there’s nothing about it. It’s not that God isn’t interested in it. It’s just it’s not a good thing to do even as a Christian.

Although there are passages that do kind of relate to it a bit more on the side of saying no against it, just looking on if you want to go on here Bible info, and I’ll put in the link below about drug use really good scripture on this and the passages that relate to it.

Other passages that are helping you not to do it or helping you to understand as a Christian why we shouldn’t do this? It the first and the biggest one pull right into the Corinthians in Corinth 1 Corinthians 6 do not do, you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and because God lives within us, we should treat our bodies in a way that is respectful and holy and honouring to God.

Peter writes in 1 Peter 5 be sober-minded a watchful, so a man in your mind this relates to drinking as well and not being drunk Galatian’s envy drunkenness orgies and things like these are worn years. I’ve warned you in the past that those who engage in the same things do not inherit the Kingdom of God. These are not just warnings.

This is big warnings honouring you’ve got a life as a Christian and that honours God. and that other people can see Christ in you you going out getting stoned all the time and there’s a kind of lifestyle that comes with it and the way that you act in the way that people judge you.

Now it’s the same drinking alcohol if you’re drinking alcohol and you get drunk. People know you’re Chrislife is going to be honouring to God is that going to be a great witness or knowing when to stop and not, you know, getting into the rounds where it’s going to be unhelpful to other people in my church.

I challenge the young ones who go out, and they come to church on Sunday morning to worship. I’m like yeah, but what were you like at two o’clock in the morning last night honouring a great witness to Christ or were you not and they would often smirk and you know we’re called to go make disciples, and this is one of the big things. Are you living your life in a way that’s not going to be detrimental to other people coming to Christ because you’re just in their eyes being a hypocrite saying one thing going to on Sunday and smoking weed and doing other drugs outside of that?

But let’s just quickly go to a passage that many people used in favour of using drugs. And that there’s a big difference here between being a Christian and not Christian. If you’re not Christian there, you know, but let’s just quickly go to a passage that many people used in favour of using drugs. And look, there’s a big difference here between being a Christian and not Christian.

If you’re not Christian there, you know your life is lived differently. As Christian, we live it to honour and worship God. There are many things that we have to give up. If you’re not a Christian, you can choose what you want to do or go read the Bible favour get there and understand the truth of the Bible.

And the good news is that it’s a Christian. You have to go and read this and be challenged by it, and if you have drug use or alcohol use, you have to stop that.

Because there it isn’t honouring to God, it’s not what you were created for much more than that but let’s look at the passage in here that people use to say it is good because it’s saying even God is saying this to us.

It’s in Genesis chapter 1, verse 29. Then God declared: I will give each seed-bearing plant on this earth and every tree that’s a fruit that has seeds inside it. So a lot of honouring this and say, oh well, God’s given us every plant, and cannabis is a natural plant, so we can use it, and as Christians, we can go and use it.

But the problem is that they choose when to stop reading it for the next line that says there will be yours for food. So God gives us every seed-bearing plant but for food for us to use to eat, not to smoke, not to get high. And So people take lines out and then argue it’s for that rather and against it in your car do that.

So what does the Bible say about weed and drugs? It doesn’t say anything, but there are verses in there, and as I said, click on the link below to go off and see those and be challenged by those and to challenge others with those drugs are not a good thing. They’re not honouring God .they’re not a good witness to other people.

So the Bible is directly silent on it, but there’s plenty of good stuff in there to say just don’t do it, and as a Christian, it’s not a good witness, and it’s not good for you. You weren’t created for that, and what do you think do you disagree? Do you think that the Bible does say that you know I’m all up for a good conversation? Put your comments in the links below.

Meaning Of Weeds In The Bible

The weeds represent the people who refuse to follow God’s instructions. They represent the ” sons of the evil one” who will be thrown into the fiery hell when they reach the conclusion of the age. The harvesters are angels, and the harvest time is the time of the end of the time. This signifies that the good and the bad will develop and be a part of the same community on earth.

Spiritual Meaning Of Weeds

The weeds are robust and quickly reproduce (gossip). Most weeds fight with lawn (positive thoughts based on love) for food (attention). If they are not taken care of, plants (negative thoughts based on fear) will dominate the grass (mind) or your garden (creativity).

Is Smoking Or Weeds A Sin According To The Bible?

Smoking or Weeds a sin according to the Bible? Well, there’s no verse in the Bible thou shalt not smoke, but there is a few that might give us cause for concern. Just take a look.

All right particularly first Corinthians chapter 6 says all things verse 12 all things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient all things are lawful for me. Still, I will not be brought under the power of any of you who are addicted to tobacco. Then you have been brought under the power of that addiction rather than under the power of the Holy Spirit.

Again in verse 19 says what no, you’re not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. What is it that you have in you that you get from God and are not yours for you were bought with the price of a cost, so worship God with your body and In your spirit, which is gods?

So again, the body belongs to God. You’re to glorify God in your body not sure how you could do that if you are ingesting something injurious.

Again it’s sort of more laterally thinking, you know in Exodus chapter 20 says, thou shalt not kill if you’re smoking you if you’re taking tobacco you are actually in a sense killing yourself you’re harming the body that God has given you.

Again 1st Corinthians 10, we’ll take a look at that – is 1st Corinthians 10 verse 31 whether therefore ye eat or drink or whatsoever ye do all to the glory of God again how do you smoke cigarettes to the glory of God so I would come to the conclusion that because of these passages and others like them anything you’re doing this injury to yourself whether it’s smoking whether it’s gluttony.

If it’s injuring your body, then it isn’t to the glory of God you’re not taking care of the temple the holy spirit; therefore, it is a sin. But with the help of God, the strength that he gives for the holy spirit, you can overcome that addiction.
