Definition Of A Seer

In the Bible, A seer is one who sees the unseen and sees what is hidden in plain sight. They can see through a lens that heaven has employed in both the natural and in the supernatural. And there are naturally occurring events all around us that mirror what God is doing in the supernatural.

Secrets of a seer that should have been secrets to believers, but they are, for instance, heaven on earth. Heaven on earth is a massive key because here’s the deal said. We’ve been praying for years, let your kingdom come, let you will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is a great prayer. It’s the prayer we’re told to pray from Jesus. Still, when heaven is touching the earth, seers can identify where heaven is already happening in their lives and their family, and they’re not looking at the lack. They’re looking at the abundance.

What Is The Difference Between A Seer And A Prophet In The Bible?

In summary, a prophet as a teacher of known truth, a seer as a perceiver of hidden truth, a Revelator as a bearer of new truth. In the widest sense, the one most commonly used, the title prophet, includes the other titles and makes the Prophet a teacher perceiver and bearer of truth.

What Is A Seer In The Bible? The seer is viewed as one who primarily receives revelation from the Lord through trances and visionary experiences. But the seer is something much deeper than just a person who sees in the spirit. There could be a person who never has a vision, yet the Lord calls them a seer?

The Word of God speaks in the first Samuel chapter 9 and verse 9 and before time in Israel. If a person went to inquire about God and was unable to find the answer, he spoke to meet with the Prophet, for the man who is now called a prophet was a prophetess before. Seer is a term used to describe a time.

In this word seer in this particular passage is a Hebrew word which is Raah and this Hebrew word means one given insight into the past, the present, and the future. And when we read this scripture, we find out that this particular Raah prophet or seer prophet is also known as a Nabi. The word Nabi translated in English as Prophet means to bubble up means to bubble or gush forth.

So Samuel was seen as a seer prophet, but we never really see him having visionary trance-like experiences when we study his life. In First Samuel chapter three, we see where God comes and speaks to him in an audible voice. But he never actually sees anything.

Yet, he was considered as a seer not because he was given to visions or trances. But because he was a discerner of the past, the present, and the future. He was someone that was able to gaze by prophetic revelation into the past. He could look in the present moment and be able to see into the future.

And often, his revelation did not flow through trances or visions. It came as the Nabi the bubbling forth the utterance that was given. And so the seer could bubble forth that which is from the past, the present, and the future.

And thereby creating a picture through words for the here to see into those three specific moments in time all at once.

According to Amos chapter 7 in verse 12a seer is a Hebrew word Hosea which means a visionary or gazer or one who receives a message in a vision, a beholder of dreams beholder of open visions. And these primarily come through trances.

Amos was one such Prophet that God had chosen while he did not come from a lineage of prophetic voices. He was simply a man whose father was a farmer. Yet God plucked him out during that time period and caused him to be a gazer, one that was given to trances visions and ecstatic or ecstasies moments.

And they would often look at the gazer and use the word gaze. Because the man who was this type of a prophet would often be seen eyes fixed mouth open unable to move as he was translated out of this 3-dimensional world into the other. Where God would begin to show him things as if his eyes were translated to a greater dimension, a higher realm where he was able to see. and God could show him anything.

Show him not just things that happen in the past or the future but things that were happening right there that his natural eye could not see. Things that were transpiring behind closed doors. Things that were being done in secret. And things that were trying to be concealed from the public eye.

Yet this prophetic gift was able to, in a sense, climb up over the wall they he was able to in a sense lift out the veil and peer into that which was hidden.

Secrets Of The Seer

To discover the secret things of God. Secrets of the seer is a compilation of practices and perspectives that I have found to increase the frequency of seer encounters in my life. What I’ve found is that there are not just secret messages that God keeps; however, it appears that there are methods to find out the secrets God is keeping created to talk.

Certain of these secrets date back to ancient Biblical practices, while others are from biblical times. Each of them, when observed, takes us into a place of encounter that series of old will consider sacred.

Quote, and it shall come to pass in the last days says God that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy your young men shall see visions. Your old men shall dream dreams, and on my men’s servants and on My maidservants, I will pour out my spirit in those days, and they shall prophesy.

Acts 2 verses 17 to 18 In the last days, there will be an unprecedented level of dreams and visions young and old will experience supernatural seer phenomena. And the world will witness a global outpouring where people from every nation, tribe, and culture will be wandering about the encounters they are having in their sleep. And the visions they are having during the day.

Soon the group of prophetic and seers will appear to assist people in understanding the meaning behind the events that happen that they experience in their lives. Imagine a community of seers who are able to tell the world the meaning of these dreams and encounters, much like joseph with pharaoh or daniel with Nebuchadnezzar.

There will be a point where world leaders will look around across the globe for answers to the mystery surrounding the interactions they’re experiencing. Dreamers will look for an understanding of their dreams or the supernatural lights that keep visiting them at night.

Others will be like Cornelius, who had an encounter with an angel while praying and was told to look for a man named peter. The angel’s final instruction to Cornelius about peter was he would tell you what you must do.

Acts 10 verse 6 encounters like this will be something we can expect, and at that time, a great company of seers and prophets will emerge with the wisdom and the ability to interpret these moments for those looking for the answers. These are the times of supernatural times when mature seers must be readily accessible because the are set for their participation.

I’m writing this intending to prepare the way for a generation of highly skilled and fully engaged seers and prophets who practice a lifestyle of pursuing God’s presence with eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts that are entirely committed to understanding the wonder of God’s ways.

When these perspectives and practices are observed, I believe it will create an environment within our own lives that will enable us to experience seer moments that reveal heaven’s activity all around us.
