An unmarried woman having a child could have raised many questions on her character, but the newborn Jesus started speaking like a messenger of God. A mother is proved innocent by this miracle. This story is a story of victory over prejudices.

When Muslims mention Jesus, they are expected to say, “Peace be with them.” Muslims believe that he will return on the day of doomsday. Jesus has been praised in Muslim literature since before the Qur’an.

In the Muslim world, names such as Isa in boys’ names and Maryam in girls’ names are common, which are associated with Isa and Mary.

Can you imagine that a Christian family can name their boy Muhammad? Islam is known to Christ because Christianity was prevalent in the Middle East at the time of the emergence of Islam in the seventh century.

Jesus’ real name is Hebrew.

It means “Jehovah [God] is salvation.” The English spelling of Jesus is “Joshua.” 

However, when translated from Hebrew into the Greek language in which the New Testament was written, the name became the name of Jesus. The English spelling for Iēsous is “Jesus.”

This means that Joshua and Jesus are the same names. One name is translated from Hebrew into English. 

The other is translated from Greek into English. Interestingly, the names “Joshua” and “Isaiah” are essentially the same names as Jesus in Hebrew. He means “savior” and “the salvation of God.”
